Closing Your Pool
What's Included
- Remove ladders, steps, cleaners, lights, salt systems, alarms etc. from the pool.
- Add winter chemicals.
- Winterize skimmer and return so that the pump and filter system can be drained without draining the pool.
- Place air pillow in center of the pool.
- Put cover on pool and attach using cable and winch method or an alternative method.
- Take all drain caps or plugs out of the pump and filter and any other accessories that could freeze and crack.
- The customer’s responsibility for the winter is draining water off the top of the cover.
NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF POOL CLOSING:
Winter Cover, Air Pillow, Winter Chemicals, Plugs, Ice Compensator, Cover Pump or Siphon, Cover Attachment Materials: cable & winch, cover clips, alligator clamps, water bags.
Pool cleaning and chemical balancing is not included in the Pool Closing price. The pool is expected to be clean, clear, and balanced when we arrive to close the pool. We can perform these tasks but this may delay closing the pool and additional costs will be charged. Please let us know in advance if you like us to prepare the pool for closing as well.

In-Ground Pools
What's Included
- Remove cleaners, ladders, handrails, and any other accessories from the pool.
- Add winter chemicals.
- Winterize piping, filter system, and any other auxiliary equipment that can hold water.
- Blow out pool filtration lines and cap them off where practical.
- Add ice compensators in skimmers to prevent cracking when freezing occurs.
- FOR SAFETY COVERS: Attach safety cover to existing deck anchors.
- FOR POLY WEAVE COVERS: Place filled water tubes on the edge of the cover to hold the cover in place.
- The customer responsibility for the winter is draining water off the top of the cover.
NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF A POOL CLOSING: Cover, Water Tubes, Anchors, Winter Chemicals, Ice Compensators, Plugs, Cover Pump.
